Hill Station is a reimagined 11,000 square metre heritage homestead in the heart of Hume. Rooted in the 1860s, the site is being lovingly restored to become a precinct where the whole family can come together. With animals grazing across the property, wide lawns, and a mix of food, music and events, Hill Station is shaping up to be Canberra’s newest destination.
Our long-term vision is big: weddings under the stars, intimate live music shows, flower stalls, restaurant and a rotating mix of small food and drink vendors. We’re passionate about great food, good music, bold design and even better people.

Our large grassed area will be the perfect spot to stretch out and relax. Picnic tables are scattered across the lawn, but there’s plenty of space to roll out a picnic blanket of your own. Kids will have a world of play at their fingertips:
A van painted like a dairy cow, half-buried in the ground with chalkboards and steering wheels to fuel their imagination
A sandpit and padded play zone with stepping pillars
The Hill Station Milkbar, a play-space kiosk designed just for kids, complete with painted shelving to spark creativity

Beer Garden & Big Screen Sports
Right at the front of the precinct sits the Hill Station Beer Garden — the ultimate outdoor pub vibe. Serving Burgermaker burgers and Loading Zone Coffee, this is the perfect spot for knock-offs, weekend sessions or a cold drink in the sun.
The beer garden is anchored by a massive 100-inch screen showing all the big matches. From AFL and NRL to NFL and the Ashes, sports fans won’t miss a moment.

Burgermaker has fast become Canberra’s smash burger cult favourite, serving up the best burgers Monday to Saturday (with Sundays coming soon), alongside Queanbeyan Bitter, our very own local beer brewed with good people and good times in mind.
Animal Feeding – Daily at 10am
Every morning the kids can meet the animals that call Hill Station home. It’s an easy, fun way to kick off a family day out, and a reminder that Hill Station is more than just a venue — it’s a place to connect.
