Pony Up: Fun Time Pony heads upstairs with smash burgers, DJs and late nights.

Fun Time Pony is moving up in the world. One floor up, to be precise.

Open since Saturday 26 September, Pony Up brings the Fun Time Pony spirit upstairs to 122 Alinga Street, with smash burgers, share plates, boozy slushies, cold beer and DJs until late.

The 200-person venue is made for both ends of the night. Meet there for burgers and drinks before heading out, settle in with a group for dinner, come back for afters or stay long enough for it to become the whole night.

Smash burgers at the centre

Smash burgers sit at the centre of the menu, alongside Oklahoma burgers, jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks, buffalo wings, sweet & sour wings and frickles (deep-fried pickles served with ranch, and our personal favourite). Old-school desserts include banana splits and deep-fried ice cream.

A room with its own personality

The room has its own personality, with graffitied walls, vintage rock photography, red carpet, drawn blinds, booths, high tables and a lounge room made for settling in. There is also a small stage, regular DJs and a photobooth, because if a night out happens and there is not a slightly chaotic strip of photos to prove it, did it really happen?

Two levels, one night out

Downstairs, Fun Time Pony continues with live music, comedy, DJs and late-night pizza. Upstairs, Pony Up gives you somewhere to eat, drink, gather and stay a while.

Together, the two levels can hold 500 people, creating one destination for dinner, drinks, live music and late nights in the heart of the city.

Pony Up is the latest venue from Rabble Group, the independent hospitality group behind Assembly, Corella, Al's Deli and Fun Time Pony.
