What we collect, why, and the choices you have. Written to be readable, not to hide anything.
Who we are
Rabble Group ("Rabble", "we", "us") operates hospitality venues in Canberra and Burleigh Heads, and this website, rabblegroup.com.au. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the site and our venues' booking systems, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
Enquiries. When you submit a function, event, large-group or band enquiry, or report lost property, we collect the details you give us: your name, email, phone number and the details of your request.
Bookings. When you book a table, we collect your name, contact details, party size and any notes you add (such as dietary requirements or a special occasion). Some venues take bookings through third-party systems linked from this site; those providers collect your details under their own privacy policies.
Newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address.
Careers. If you apply for a role, we collect your name, contact details and whatever you include in your application.
Gift cards and orders. Purchases are processed by third-party providers under their own terms; we do not see or store your payment card details.
Analytics. Like most websites, we use analytics (Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used - pages visited, links clicked, rough location, device type. This uses cookies. It helps us see what's working; it isn't used to identify you personally.
How we use it
To do the thing you asked: confirm your booking, answer your enquiry, consider your application, send the newsletter you subscribed to, or reunite you with your lost property.
To run our venues: booking and enquiry details go to the relevant venue's team so they can look after you, and we may send you messages about your booking (such as a confirmation or reminder).
To improve the site and our venues, using aggregated analytics that don't identify you.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use it for marketing you haven't asked for. Newsletter emails always include an unsubscribe link.
Who we share it with
The venue you're dealing with. An enquiry or booking for one of our venues is shared with that venue's team.
Service providers who help us operate: our booking and gift card providers, email and messaging services, form handling, cloud hosting and analytics. They receive only what they need to provide their service, and some may store data outside Australia (for example, on cloud infrastructure in the United States). We choose reputable providers with their own privacy and security commitments.
Otherwise, we only disclose personal information where the law requires it.
How we keep it
Personal information is stored with secure cloud providers using access controls, and only staff who need it to do their job can see it. We keep booking and enquiry records for as long as they're useful for running the venues and meeting our legal obligations, then delete or de-identify them.
No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the regulator as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
Cookies and analytics choices
You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across the web using Google's browser add-on.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@rabblegroup.com.au and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
If you have a privacy complaint, contact us first and we'll do our best to fix it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

We'll update this page when our practices change. The date below tells you when it was last revised.
